Ministries

“For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

~Mark 10:45

Liturgy

Liturgy is the work of the people.

Members of 10:30 Community have the opportunity to join in the planning and celebration of the weekly Mass and other liturgies.

Members can participate in Altar Preparation, Planning, Eucharist Minister, as Lectors and Offertory gift-bearers.

Music is led by two music groups.  In addition we make use of streaming technology when those groups are not available.

Social Action

Social Action in the community is the founding inspiration and on-going identity for 10:30 Catholic Community.  Currently we are aligned with Capitol Hill United Ministries (CHUM) and have regular commitments to support food and shelter programs in the area.  In addition some members are engaged in visiting persons in detention, and supporting those in need of legal assistance.

The 10:30 Catholic Community is a community that believes in and practices social justice. We support the following organizations through volunteering and through donations.

Hospitality

We warmly welcome parishioners and visitors before Mass and enjoy gathering for refreshments and fellowship afterward.

Our ministry also supports homebound members by preparing meals and helping them stay connected to our church family.

Throughout the year, we assist with receptions and celebrations for special occasions, including birthdays, funerals, and other community events, creating opportunities for fellowship, support, and connection.
